Infancia incluida!

Inclusive Childhood!

Childhood is not the future. It is the present. Just looking at childhood with dedicated eyes of a constructive present, we are going to be able to build a better future. If we forget the fight, the public politics, the needs, the errors, the present hits, we would not be able to promote better life conditions for the children in the future.

In ACEJ since 2005 we develop inclusive spaces for boys, girls, teenagers and young people in vulnerable situations for their community, educational, cultural and health development. The centers are currently in the poorest locations in the northern suburb of the Buenos Aires province.

We have discovered that the workshops with better and greater positive impact on these children are the workshops that work from the pedagogy of art, communication and freedom. The art, journalism, dancing, cine and radio, computer, theater, music, painting, etc. are those that in addition to being the ones with the most attendance awaken great and profound interests in these children who transmit and visualize their hopes, problems and wishes.

We collaborated in the construction of a library in La Cava Village, developed a radial program with teenagers, promoted the shooting of a teenagers documentary, and we are building inclusive spaces each time more solid and participative. It is important to build for the community but needs to be WITH the community.

It is fundamental that the childhood public politics, promote programs for the distribution of richness, not only economical but also symbolical and poetical. We cannot forget the creative capacity and playfulness of the children, even more in the children in a poor situation that are possibly resilient.
