Introducing myself and my journal: THE LIFE OF MAN - TO KNOW AND LOVE GOD

About Me:
Love causes a desire for the absent good and the hope of obtaining it; this movement finds completion in the pleasure and joy of the good possessed.
"To love is to will the good of another." All other affections have their source in this first movement of the human heart toward the good.
The practice of goodness is accompanied by spontaneous spiritual joy and moral beauty. Likewise, truth carries with it the joy and splendor of spiritual beauty. Truth is beautiful in itself.
Oil is a sign of abundance and joy.
One learns endurance and the joy of work.
The fruits of the Spirit are perfections that the Holy Spirit forms in us as the first fruits of eternal glory. The tradition of the Church lists twelve of them: "charity, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, generosity, gentleness, faithfulness, modesty, self-control, chastity."
The fruits of charity are joy, peace, and mercy.
Charity is patient and kind, charity is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Charity does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Charity bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Charity demands beneficence and fraternal correction; it is benevolence; it fosters reciprocity and remains disinterested and generous; it is friendship and communion.
The chaste person maintains the integrity of the powers of life and love placed in him. This integrity ensures the unity of the person and tolerates neither a double life nor duplicity in speech.
"Pure in heart" refers to those who have attuned their intellects and wills to the demands of God's holiness, chiefly in three areas: charity; chastity or sexual rectitude; love of truth and orthodoxy of faith. There is a connection between purity of heart, of body, and of faith:
The faithful must believe the articles of the Creed "so that by believing they may obey God, by obeying may live well, by living well may purify their hearts, and with pure hearts may understand what they believe."
The Apostles’ Creed of the Catholic Church
ARTICLE 1: "I BELIEVE IN GOD THE FATHER ALMIGHTY, CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH"
ARTICLE 2: "AND IN JESUS CHRIST, HIS ONLY SON, OUR LORD"
ARTICLE 3: "HE WAS CONCEIVED BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT,
ARTICLE 4: "JESUS CHRIST SUFFERED UNDER PONTIUS PILATE, WAS CRUCIFIED, DIED, AND WAS BURIED"
ARTICLE 5: "HE DESCENDED INTO HELL ON THE THIRD DAY HE ROSE
ARTICLE 6: "HE ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN AND IS SEATED AT THE RIGHT
ARTICLE 7: "FROM THENCE HE WILL COME AGAIN TO JUDGE THE LIVING AND THE DEAD"
ARTICLE 8: "I BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT"
ARTICLE 9: "I BELIEVE IN THE HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH"
ARTICLE 10: "I BELIEVE IN THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS"
ARTICLE 11: "I BELIEVE IN THE RESURRECTION OF THE BODY"
ARTICLE 12: "I BELIEVE IN LIFE EVERLASTING"
"Amen"

The next three sentences are from the Catholic Catechism of the Catholic Church. “The Apostles' Creed is so called because it is rightly considered to be a faithful summary of the apostles' faith. It is the ancient baptismal symbol of the Church of Rome. Its great authority arises from this fact: it is "the Creed of the Roman Church, the See of Peter the first of the apostles, to which he brought the common faith".

LOVE, IN FACT, IS THE VOCATION WHICH INCLUDES ALL OTHERS; IT'S A UNIVERSE OF ITS OWN, COMPRISING ALL TIME AND SPACE - IT'S ETERNAL!
