Introducing myself and my journal: We are "One Woman"

About Me:
I'm Stephanie Moraille, I am originally from Haiti and have been living in the United States for the past 20 years. As a young adolescent, my passion was to work for the United Nations and impact the lives of those a lot less fortunate. Having suffered internally from a abusive marriage, I was never truly able to focus on my candidature for the UN. After having amassed enough courage to finally separate from the abusive situation, I found the courage to follow my heart and enter the non profit, humanitarian world. Although i've worked with several great national organizations, my passion and heart was still abroad with the poorest of the poor. My goal was to work in Haiti with poor rural women, as they are always the most forgotten within our society. As a result, after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, I founded the MorFiss Foundation. The purpose of MorFiss is to offer hope and empower these women. The majority of Haitian women are employed in the informal sector and are almost uninvolved in any decision makings. MorFiss's goal is to teach women how to appreciate themselves and embrace the strength that they possess. MorFiss believes in gender equality and strives to involve rural women in activities that will strengthen their financial capacity and that will also help them reach full emancipation. Our goal is to involve Haitian women in the formal sector, politics, decision making and to stand with them and their families.

My Passions:

My Areas of Expertise:
