Naive to the corporate world, I stepped into the world of technology with excitement, unaware of its complexities 16 years back in Kolkata as a PR executive with a salary of just 3,000 /-Rupees. Campus to corporate is a life-changing transformation, total shift in perspective and behaviour.
When I reflect on my career journey, I realise it was not always smooth-sailing, and I have experienced my share of disappointments along with the triumphs. Without a clear vision, a thorough plan and a commitment to following the path you lay out for yourself, your dream will remain just that.
Below the iceberg of a successful life are the aspects people don’t see – persistence, failure, sacrifice, disappointments. My biggest challenge was going back to work after my maternity break of two years. It’s always tough for a mother to leave her children behind to pursue her career dreams.
Today I am Responsible for all strategic planning, account management, and for the overall success of Company’s relationship with 1000+ assigned client accounts in all operation Centers.
Keep learning, growing and investing in yourself. Apart from my corporate responsibilities I am actively committed to social activism. Most of my volunteering activities are done during the weekend. Life is all about giving. And in return life gives you so much more back than what you deposited.
Strong leaders build a compelling shared vision with other leaders and their team, are able to inspire and influence those around them to translate that vision into action,
and create positive organizational change. Few of my key guiding principles are
ethics and integrity, technology, innovation, agility ,customer centricity and
Inclusiveness. Leadership Begins with Integrity. It's doing the right thing all the time and making decisions based on uncompromising honesty and moral values.
No organization can achieve success alone. Building and leading high-performing teams is essential for driving innovation and achieving organizational goals. As leaders we need to make sure that every employee is treated equally and respectfully, has the same opportunities and resources, and can participate and thrive.
Leadership is about inspiring and encouraging others every step of the way. It’s about building a positive environment where employees can thrive and use the skills to the best of their ability. Leadership is about motivating others and providing them with the confidence they need to see their full potential. As a leader, it’s important to be considerate of others’ feelings and use everyone’s passion for good. I value the opinion of others, respect their beliefs and listen to their concerns with an open mind. I care about leading with heart and using my leadership platform to cultivate a positive place for growth. Ultimately, leadership is about being a strong leader that others can depend on.
All leaders encounter challenges. This is true in all industries. The way in which you think about these challenges will play a major role in your potential for continued success. We need to feel enthusiastic about challenges and focus on challenges as new opportunities to develop unique solutions.
We have but one life and it’s up to us to live a life of purpose, meaning and fulfillment, and find ways to we can empower more women to join the ranks of India's most successful leaders and create an inclusive environment that nurtures their growth.
We should aspire to be someone who inspires
