Smart Teachers, Safer Schools

Safecity conducted an awareness workshop on Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) on 20th April in Kamla Nehru School in which 25 teachers participated.

What is the difference between sex and gender? What is Child Sexual Abuse? These were the important questions that the teachers of Indipuram School faced when Naina Jha conducted workshop. Through various activities Naina highlighted the differences in gender and sex and the stereotypes people often make based on the same. She also spoke about the various physical and behavioural indicators of Child Sexual Abuse that would help teachers identify students being abused in different ways.

Naina ended the workshop by briefing the teachers about the law and legislation with regard to sexual harassment and child sexual abuse.
