To Judge or Be open to Understanding?

When you tell people not to judge, you, yourself, are judging.

You are saying that they cannot/are not allowed to judge or make judgments, that they cannot form an opinion; that they have no right to do so. People express themselves differently, for different reasons at different times. People evolve, consciously or unconsciously, they can and do change, even their minds sometimes. One way in which they can discover who they are, what they think, is through reflecting, questioning, analyzing.

To judge them for seeking truth and fact when things don’t make sense, when something appears unreasonable, is, problematic.
Does not everyone have rights equal to yours?
Is it not respectful to recognize that others may/do have different opinions? Are compassion, pity, etc attitudes we ought to extend equally to everyone – innocent victim and perpetrator?

Disagree, if you must, but at least, be bold enough to say why, without appeal to (erratic) emotion. All of us “feel” but we do not experience the same feelings all the time, to the same degree. We do however share some basic set of values and principles e.g., it is wrong to kill innocent people, whether grounded in religion, law or common sense morality, on which to base our judgments.
