Did you miss yesterday's Training Tuesday? I'm so excited to tell you we had a FULL HOUSE! With the fantastic Sherna and Sally speaking live, and Sharon joining in via a pre-recorded video, the session was packed with powerful knowledge and insights on how you can engage in a multilateral process.
We started with a masterclass on what multilateral processes are and how you can engage in them, be it at the civil society or country or international levels. We then heard from the fantastic Sharon Bhagwan-Rolls through a pre-recorded video on her experience engaging in multilateral processes all these years. Then, the inimitable Sherna Alexander Benjamin and the brilliant Sally Maforchi Mboumien came in with their beautiful spirits and unparallelled wisdom to guide community members on making a start and engaging deeply with multilateral processes. While Sherna talked about how the OAU has been instrumental in creating the first convention to address violence against women, and how engaging in multiple forums invites you to start by positioning yourself as an authority in the field, Sally talked about what it means to engage when your governments are authoritarian and how building community - as she did on World Pulse while campaigning for peace in Cameroon - can go a long way.
We also celebrated the 11 community members who finished a training in the past month! Take a look at the recording below.
