Go-getters and determined champions 🏆 aren't evident at first glance; they require the strongest, most resilient, and most determined individuals filled with unwavering momentum to take bold steps. This essence embodies the word GIRL.

The word "girl" signifies more than just a term; it symbolizes a personality infused with greatness, integrity, resilience, and limitless ability.

Let's talk about a tiny, lonely girl who grows up into a strong woman and mother despite adversity and obstacles. She is the real definition of an overcomer because she faced and rose above her hardships, raising children who are revered globally. Her name is Sanya Carson.

Born the next-to-youngest of twenty-four children in a family struggling to survive, she knew only thirteen of her siblings. She grew up remembering little about her mother or father because she spent her childhood lonely and unhappy, being shuffled from one foster home to another.

Her education stalled in the third grade. At thirteen, she married Robert Carson, hoping to escape her sorrowful circumstances, only to discover he was a bigamist with another secret family. When their marriage dissolved, her sons Ben and Curtis were eight and ten, respectively.

Despite the pain, Sanya was determined to do whatever it took to keep a roof over her son's heads and clothes on their backs. She proved even more determined to find a way to prepare her son's for achievement and success. She trusted and believed the future would surpass their past.

Her greatest strength came from her faith and determination in achieving all that she wished for and prayed for. Ben Carson, her son, became an esteemed American neurosurgeon, academic, author, and politician. Curtis pursued a career as an aeronautical engineer.

Despite the difficult circumstances of her own life, Sanya never complained about poverty, hardship, injustice, or any other challenges she'd encountered in life. She became a role model and the biggest motivation for her son's and everybody else that came across her story that there is nothing a determined soul cannot achieve if it persists.
