". . . the valiant of spirit . . .

Dear Each & All,

Ghandi said, \"Strength of numbers is the delight of the timid. The valiant in spirit glory in fighting alone.\"

Nothing is truer than this: that we in VOF are all working together but that each of you is also fighting alone.

And such valiant spirits are exhibited by our Correspondents with every piece of writing !

My Correspondent has recently quoted a woman who advises journalists experiencing trauma to resort to the serenity of nature whenever possible. That is, rather than resorting to anything nerve-numbing, resort to the things that are nerve-calming, such as the sound of the ocean, or of your cat purring, or of a bird with a beautiful song . . . or listen to music that soothes your savaged soul. Anything 'organic' that reminds you of who you are at the most primal, comforting level.

It may seem grossly inadequate for traumatic times, but it can renew you, even if only a little, tiny bit at a time.

With Loving Support,

Sarah
