A Scoop of Inspiration

I went on a chocolate tour of Denver yesterday, because, like most women, I adore chocolate. Yet, while we savored yummy sweets all day, we visited one business where the treats we ate also helped feed the hungry. Little Man Ice Cream believes that all businesses exist to make a difference. They fulfill that purpose with their "Scoop for Scoop" program. For every scoop of ice cream they sell, they donate one scoop of rice to hungry villages in third world countries, such as Ethiopia, Myanmar and Senegal. They purchase those food donations locally in those countries, so that they're also contributing to the economy. Not only that, but Little Man's owner, Paul Tamburello, hand delivers the donations to the villages, to cut out any middle-man costs. This ensures that he's directly donating a scoop for a scoop! I've never before felt so moved while licking a delicious scoop of chocolate mocha chip ice cream. http://littlemanicecream.com/
