Like me, she is a breadwinner to her family. Even when she got married, she still supports her family.

She is the only girl with six brothers in the family but the most hardworking, loving and intelligent woman.

She bravely finished her studies as a license civil engineer and proudly involve in various building projects in the Philippines and Dubai.

We have so many memories together as cousins, especially during the time when I was studying. Whenever I have math homework, if I don't understand it, I will ask her to answer and explain it to me. She would always ask me, if I still have money for fare to go to school.

During the time when my Mother got sick, she was there to help me with my finances. She's been supportive not only to me but to our whole family. She remembers all our birthdays and will post birthday greetings on our facebook group chat.

All things are getting well, but last year of 2015, we are saddened when she found out that the cancer cells returned back. She was diagnosed of thyroid cancer, after 10 years it came back.

Because of this, she was not able to say goodbye in person when her younger brother, Gardo and her Mother died even if she wanted to come home.

She misses her two sons, but there is nothing she can do as she can't afford their tickets to bring them in Dubai to spend time with her.

Recently, she's been in and out of hospital due to complications: malignant pleural effusion and pneumonia. She also completed two weeks of radiation theraphy last month of May. As side effect, now she is unable to swallow solid food and has to be on NGT feeding.

Last June 10, 2024, she was rushed to emergency due to difficulty breathing and diarrhea. Eventually, she was transferred to the ICU.

As days pass by, her condition worsens and the doctor said that all we can do now is wait and pray for a miracle to happen.

Ate Dina is under residence visa for medical purposes as she has been unable to work since 2019 and her husband is her dependent and caregiver (both of them has no job).

She has been dependent on charity and donations from friends for her treatment, medications and food supplies. She also sells her baked birthday cakes / pastries and sold them to her friends and churchmates for extra income.

The hospital in Dubai is not free, and she don't have an insurance anymore due to unemployment. That is why we have launched to raise fund for her hospital bills and repatriation https://gofund.me/77ef9985

Every little bit of help that you can give is much appreciated.

Help us pay for her hospital bills and bring her back home to be with her family.

With God, all things are possible and we still hope for miracles in Ate Dina's life. Please include her and her family in your prayers.
