About Me

I attended Manzanilla Government Primary School, where my passion for reading and storytelling took root. After passing my SEA examinations, I enrolled in Manzanilla Secondary School, actively participating in theatre arts and music. From playing the steel pan at the age of 8 to leading the school choir, I discovered a love for drama as a form of self-expression, sparking my journey into writing. I started with songs, plays, short stories, and eventually delved into books.

Alongside my creative pursuits, I studied phlebotomy, digital marketing, and project management. I own a small business and embraced marriage in 2020. However, 2021 brought the loss of my mother, triggering severe depression and anxiety. Sleepless nights prompted me to seek solace by connecting with others who faced similar challenges, leading to personal growth and solutions.

Diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) at 15, I delve into ongoing research to address menorrhagia, a condition that emerged later. Frustrated by challenging experiences with doctors regarding PCOS and menorrhagia, I founded EmpowerHer: Advocating for Women With PCOS, Endometriosis, and Adenomyosis to raise awareness about these pressing issues that women encounter daily. Having met many women who suffer from these menstrual issues and often feel hopeless, my mission is to provide support and empower them to face these challenges with resilience.
