Abstract Prayers

Regardless of where one comes from there is a prayer held in our hearts, regardless of who we praise, admire or whom is our divine mother or father we have a prayer. Below is a poem titled Abstract Prayer that i worte with no religion in mind this poem/prayer is written for everyone.

Abstract Prayer

I write abstract prayers
for our soldiers, sick babies, flood victims. lost souls
the dead, the sick, the missing

My tears
staining the paper
with every word written

Running the ink thru
the fibers of its recycled body

lost words
unspoken and silenced

blending lines
nothing in between

Prayers in every direction
scattered, lost, folded and captured
between the lines
are abstract prayers
waiting to be found.
