Beacon (a poem)
May 28, 2019
First story
There is a beacon inside of me now
It was always there
But now a bio-luminescent
Gelatinous seed magnet
Cosmic technology
Has been installed
To magnify
The light aroma
The color texture
The siren song of my unique flavor
Of Womb Michaela Maestas
To broadcast to all who hunger
For the gifts it bestows
Do you feel your hair follicles
Standing up
Creating 10,000 ecstatic antenna
To receive the transmission?
A rhythmic gentle jolt
At your core
Turning your gaze here
Guiding your hand there
Stoking your longing
For something more
Than what you have settled for?
Does what was good enough
Acceptable
Suddenly have an unbearable edge?
Beyond which something greater beckons?
Yet you don't know how to cross your barriers
Weave a cocoon
Dissolve and reform
With wings
And now you find yourself reading this poem
This invitation
To follow this call
You must reach out a hand
Part the fringe curtain
At the edge of your comfort zone
Offer up something precious
To the gatekeeper there
Your time
Your money
Your habits
To allow you to pass into the unknown
I will walk with you there
Help you install your own beacon
And sing with you
As you dance your way home
