I promised you to share my dreams. But let me share you what I had been doing all this time, when you must have thought I was writing about my dreams.
We had our art history presentation two weeks ago. We were very enthusiastic to share what we learned about world history in this term, a period of 6 weeks, to our future professors. It also was a good excuse to be with all our wonderful teachers before we all go back home for this break. I talked with one of the professors from my country and hearing her speak Nepali (my mother language) other than my friends was so exhilarating. Had I been in Nepal, I would have not valued my language, as much as on that day.
Then, there were few workshops on personal financial planning, economics and social entrepreneurship. Though at some point, I almost catched sleep, I must admit that those workshops were very helpful, and educational. Later, we got busy with things to do for our graduation, which is scheduled on 8th July, 2009. I got selected as the MC for the program, which was completely opposite of what I had expected. I am both excited and nervous. Excited, because I am going to the Master of the Ceremonies on the most important day of my life here. Nervous, because obviously there will be so many people right in front of me. And for I have learned English as a second language, I am scared to be embarrassed for my small pronunciation mistake.
My excitement of going back home is followed by the trouble of deciding what to take for my friends and families. This is when I felt wise to have attended the personal financing plan workshop. I was more economical than ever while buying gifts.
Here, I learn new things each day and each day I feel more mature. I can’t wait to be home and see how things have changed there. I have started packing things up but not finished yet. I will for sure share my dreams. Who knows, some of them may come true when I will get home.
