The socio political crisis in Cameroon has resulted to a lot of violence and instability which has had a huge impact on women and girls, and has made live very difficult and unbearable for women and girls to live in.

Dorothy is a girl of 15yrs who lives in my community. She lost her parents during this crisis. Her parents were kidnapped and shut dead.

Before the start of this crisis, her ordinary world has was her home and her family before she lost her parents. Her parents were farmer dealers and because of this crisis, they were killed in the violence, leaving her alone and vulnerable. She was a teenager when her parents were killed and she's lift to face the violence and discrimination alone which is an incredible difficult situation to navigate.

Its likely that she's traumatized by the loss of her parents and she is struggling with feelings of grief anger and confusion.

She now left the village to this city. Challenges that she face were discrimination and violence in her daily life. She made a decision and told herself she will be transformed by learning to fight for herself.

I stood alone, surrounded by the rubble of her home. In the distance she could hear the shouts and gunfire of the ongoing conflict. In the silence of her grief, she made a vow to herself: she would not let her parents deaths be in vain.

Her eyes fluttered open, her heart racing as the memories of the violence flooded back. She clutched her blanket tightly, wishing she could find some peace in sleep. But nightmares never seemed to end.

She has flashbacks about the violence she experiencing, also has trouble focusing on tasks and completing school work.

Due to these challenges, she becomes withdrawn and isolated, finding it difficult to trust people and make new relationship.

Mindful of the fact that the government doesn't care, her friends and siblings tries to help her in her challenges but to no avail. This makes it incredibly and frustrating to them.

She made a decision and told herself " I would not lead my pain define me, I will rise up and fight for my rights and the rights of other women.

Secondly, I will use it to inspire others to fight for change.

_ Mr voice will be heard, and I will not be silence.

_ I will stand up for what's right even when it difficult.

_ I will not be defined by my past, but by my future.

_ I am strong, resilient and capable of anything despite all challenges.

_ I am not alone and I'll not given up.

This makes her feel helpless and angry like her voice isn't being heard
