Breaking News: Urgent! Indigenous Peoples Violently Arrested



\"There is terrible screaming... Four buses and many trucks without license plates have arrived to Yucumo and indigenous men and women are being forced to ride the vehicles... Women are violently being forced to leave their children behind... men are handcuffed... Injured people are bleeding... Some are in bad condition... A woman infiltrated inside the march became the leader of the police intervention.... The media is being controlled, all cameras, videos, and recorders are being taken from journalists\" This is how Fundación Tierra informed us directly from the march, in Chaparina near Yucumo, more than a thousands miles away from La Paz. Sunday, Sept. 25rh, 2011, 1800 Hrs:



Evo Morales' government has used the Police and Military forces to break the march coming from the Indigenous Territory Isiboro Secure National Park -TIPNIS by its name in Spanish. Miguel Charupá, indigenous leader, has been detained in the taking, together with other 400 people. The phone lines have been cut and Fundación Tierra is the only means of information.
