WOMEN'S WELLNESS : Risk Factors For Breast Cancer : -
A risk factor is anything that affects a person's chance of getting Breast Cancer .
Gender - Female . Breast Cancer is 100 times more common among women than men .
Age - Risk of Breast Cancer increases as one gets older .
Genetics - 5% to 10% of Breast Cancer is hereditary .
Menstrual history - early menarche and late menopause .
Children - No children and elderly primy
No breast feeding
Alcohol and Smoking
Obesity.
High Estrogen levels .
RECOMMENDTIONS : Screenings For Breast Cancer -
Yearly mammograms for all women starting at age 40
C B E = Clinical Breast Examination every 3 years for women between 20s and 40s and every year for women 40 and above .
B S E = Breast Self Examination for women starting in their 20s and report to her physician if any suspicion of a mass , pain , nipple discharge .
