Change begins with me.

How many times have we heard of the phrase "Be the change you want to see" ? once? a hundred ? or countless? Whatever the number, this phrase is as true as it reads.

When things go wrong in our homes, work place or countries, an accusing finger is always pointed at someone else and the game of blame-shifting becomes the norm. However, when do we ever pause and take a look at the enormous log in our eye before raising a finger?

I take a conscious decision to be that change that I want others to make. Blame shifting is pointless.
This may not be an overnight adjustment, but gradually I know I will get there. I will start small and I believe this will rub off on those I interact with.
