team work pays dividends

Working now as a Books for Africa Container Captain on a short-term pilot project (to fund the shipment of 20,000+ books to Kenya - https://www.booksforafrica.org/donate/donate-project/kenya/safina-empowerment.html ). I was inspired by Kenya’s hosting and involvements with the United Nations Civil Society Conference in 2024 that took places in the months before the September 2024 UN Summit of the Future (where world leaders agreed up a Pact for the Future, a Global Digital Compact, and made a Declaration for Future Generations https://www.un.org/sites/un2.un.org/files/sotf-the-pact-for-the-future.pdf.

This very focused pilot initiative is aimed identifying youth - possibly up to 30 high school to recent university graduates - in several countries, interested to volunteer for a 3 month project. The project will use a World Bank Group, Community Management Training work book to equip participants with the tools and strengthen their knowledge management skill sets gaining real-time experiences.

Obviously, using this SDG5 platform, I have been reading and meeting World Pulse members who are already engaging in efforts to improve their own communities, and are building their networks globally. The outcomes I would like study are "the role that digital innovations, data and disruptive technology play for improving human development and enhance the well-being of people"

I want to thank everyone for spending the time to read this post, and if it interests you that you want to learn more to help you decide to get involved click on this link https://safinaempowerment.org/crowdfund/

If you want to get involved in defining and planning this community development pilot project, provide a comment below...... Participation will obviously be limited....
