CWE-TECH COVID-19 EDTECH FOR GIRLS

Hardly had the dust settled on the info we gave to Kahithe girls in Murang'a County Kenya, on sexual perpetrators closer to them; than KTN News TV exposed the PREYING FATHERS. Majority of the teenage pregnancies, rape and assaults are carried out by people they know; biological fathers, brothers, step-brothers, cousins, nephews, uncles, grandfathers, boy-friends name them.

In the session when we asked the girls if they had a question or comment all were shy, quiet but when we gave them papers to write any question or comment  without their names, they wrote numerous questions. As we gave them feedback we realize we have to do this more often; this can never be a one off program, CWE-TECH has already created a rapport with this girls in this very rural part of Kenya and we shall be going back there soon.

It is worth noting that during this COVID-19 violence against girls and women has exacerbated. More needs to be done. CWE-TECH is taking the bull by its horns.
