A good friend of mine accepted the highest paying position. Months later, she called me and said that work was beginning to stress her. Further months later, she said the work environment was causing health problems for her. A few weeks back, I help her look for another job.  We often look for the best paying jobs when we should be looking for work that we will enjoy. Careers aren't made by chasing a good salary but they are made by chasing a passion.
