Me!

So for some times now, I wondered what training I needed to take on World Pulse and I finally decided to try Community Mentoring.

Having gone through the mentoring program as a mentee, mentored by my dear sister Efe, I can attest to the great benefits of having a mentor hold your hands. It was that experience that birthed the registration of the Nonprofit I run.

As a way of giving back, I look forward to having the experience of holding another sister's hand, building a solidarity in sisterhood, gaining the satisfaction of knowing that I was there for her, and that my doing that could spur her to leap.

I know that for one to be a good mentor, I don't have to have many qualifications ( as I used to think) , I mostly will need to have listening ears, know the right questions to ask, share from my wealth of experience.

I want to be a mentor so I could also self develop. I am a lifelong learner, so I see this as an opportunity to grow.

Definitely, at the end my interpersonal and communication skills will be improved, my confidence built and my network will expand .

So yes! I am open to taking on this.
