DIGITAL ENJOYMENT WITH INTERNET SALVATION

I am managing director of ELENA FOUNDATION created for empowering young girls who had babies early while schooling or not and widows living in hardship condition,started effectively in 2012 in Iringa region Tanzania by giving small assistance money to start business and be back to school as credits with small interests.

There some part of tools i need to feel free when using internet like:

internet source like Facebook,twitter,jamii forum,instagram using a modem or phone i.e iphone for hotspot use,backing up device like external disk or flash,availability of electricity so as my computer not to fell off.

When i was starting to use internet there were a lot of challenges i faced off like;

1. Both content and language kept adult learners from benefiting from the Internet than we young learners.

1. Adult programs have limited or no Internet access.There was no access for adult websites




2. The training needs and cost are high.

The cost for programs to acquire and maintain technology is high. Equally steep is the cost to be trained by teachers to use computers and the Internet in the classroom and my parents were affordable less.

1. Language learning is largely a communicative process.

   
   
   

   teachers need to make sure that communicative activities still take place when we were using computers and the Internet. One way to accomplish this was by asking us to work in pairs on a computer.

Example:

In our center teachers have noticed that when students go to the learning lab where they have many learning options, not all of which involve computers, many opt for conversation or listening groups, although they clearly like the option of computer and the Internet. This seems particularly true with the higher levels, perhaps because they can work on the Internet at
home. At school they want to converse with peers
All those above challenges i have overcome them by ;-
1.Saving my lunch money so as to cover training costs.
2.participating in group work so as to make the communication of a two way
3.Not having access for adult websites
3.Having a dictionary (soft copy) for tough words.

Internet has helped us make the Foundation project more visible and known by other societies and medias. though we haven't have yet conducted a fundraising campaign - believing on the true power of volunteering and self-funding, even at a small scale - our presence on the Web has attracted new partners who gave us books and other useful tools, or have take part to our training workshops for women and youth.

why digitally empowering women is very important. Empowering women digitally is connected to the socio-economic aspect of development of the society. There have been inequalities prevailing for decades in some under developed countries especially in the rural regions where you find grassroot women hindered by their social and economic circumstances in having proper access to the use of ICT.There are some reasons for digital empowering women like:-

Makes a lot of young people spend for instance a lot of time on Facebook , playing or charting, and we want to attract them to something more serious, in order to value more their use of Internet and impact on their community's life.

Information on almost every subject imaginable as helps people around especially women and young girls to have access for all matters happen to be more of imagination in nature.

Powerful search engines not like using offline materials internet has powerful search engine which help in finding anything in browsers

Ability to do research from your home versus research libraries,as a lot of women are liable for household activities so internet help them in doing their researchers in home rather going to library especially for school and entrepreneur women and girls.

Information at various levels of study. Everything from scholarly articles to ones directed at children;makes women aware anything which will happen at any level of study from primary to high learning institution ,and all other things to make their children grow well.

Message boards where people can discuss ideas on any topic. Ability to get wide range of opinions. People can find others that have a similar interest in whatever they are interested in like the use of Facebook,twitter,whatssapp,instagram, jamii forum where women can discuss their related and unrelated issues like men.

The internet provides the ability of emails. Free mail service to anyone in the country.like gmail,yahoo.my way,i cloud where any one can have one and transform the world.

Platform for products like SKYPE, which allow for holding a video conference with anyone in the world who also has access;in which a lot of people can be reached at time moment.

Friendships and love connections have been made over the internet by people involved in love/passion over similar interests ;other girls can be bale to get or involve in love /passion from the ones they have got through the internet.

Things such as Yahoo Answers and other sites where kids can have readily available help for homework;helps students to get the answer for their questions.

News, of all kinds is available almost instantaneously. Commentary, on that news, from every conceivable viewpoint is also available like BBC NEWS ,MAGAZINES etc can be found and uploaded in the internet.

Information-Students and children are the top most users of the internet to gain information and to accomplish their project. It’s a biggest source of information. You can get any kind of information on any kind of topic. There is a hell of stuff on a single topic. It not only helps students but also teachers, lawyers, businessmen, doctors, engineers etc.

Entertainment-Another advantage of internet is entertainment. You can download games, videos and songs. It provides you with new ways to entertain yourself.

Services-Many services are provided on internet like advertisement of your business, finding jobs online, purchasing tickets of your movie hotel reservation etc.

Globalization-Another major advantage of internet to women is globalization. It has gathered the whole world into a small screen. You can connect to the world wide nations and share your ideas.

Communication-With the help of internet you can connect to anyone in the world while sitting in your own room. You can send messages and electronic mails and fax. Now you can also communicate face to face using Skype, Voodoo etc. You can also use social networking sites to connect to people around the globe.

E-Commerce-E commerce is a concept that is used for advertisement of any type of business offers and deals. It helps to transfer information across the globe. It is also helpful in shopping any anything you want, you just ask for it, and get it at your door steps.

Learning-Another positive aspect of internet is learning. You can learn online and also take part in different activities, courses and projects offered by internet. Individuals in any part of the world can learn a lot about different topics, programs, etc.

Encyclopedia Students cannot have encyclopedia available all the time. Or if it is available, they are unable to understand few things or languages. But by using internet students can solve this problem. They can also watch video clips to get the desired information.

News-Latest news from across the globe is continuously updated on internet. News on politics, national and international issues, etc is available. News for every individual linked to different fields like students, businessmen, lawyers, engineers, doctors is available.

Low cost-Internet is a low cost source to expand one's business and to gather information and to communicate anywhere worldwide. Businessmen usually use internet to advertise their products, increasing their customers and ultimately the profit.

Got a lot of experience in using computer like Appropriate software, Internet use, distance learning, video, etc. are being developed for adults. This technology is becoming an important part of the complex learning and teaching that goes on in ESOL programs. Both women and men like using computers and having access to the Internet. Adults learning English can use both to take charge of their own learning and meet their learning goals. When computers and Internet technology are integrated into regular instruction, they can become an effective tool to facilitate language learning.
