Drawing the curtain

Its been four weeks of soul searching and peering deep within myself to bring out the treasures from the junk, the gains from the pain,a message from the mess.its been tough, but worth it.
When I saw the assignment for the final submission,my first impression was"700 words?what?how will I come up with that?"I had in four lines what my vision is for the future,my vision for my community and why I believe I should be choses as a worldpulse correspondent!anyway, here goes:

My life's vision has always been to leave wherever I am,whoever I meet better than I met them.I am most importantly passionate about girls, their wellbeing emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.I desire for them to grow up to be whole and healthy individuals who will go on to become the women of the future, the World Pulse kind of woman who will be strong to stand in the face of whatever comes their way.a well adjusted woman who laughs in the face of opposition and says,"you have no idea what the driving force within and behind me is"!

This I desire to do by having a girls club on radio which will be a forum to inspire them and encourage them to achieve their highest potentials with their full participation.
I also desire to have a girls' walk in centre, like a clinic where they can come in and talk freely with numerous counsellors on diverse issues troubling them be it healthwise or educationally or any form of abuse in school and at home;and have solutions proferred and a dynamic action taken to make the world a better place for them to fulfil their different destinies.

I also wish to contribute to economic empowerment in my community by training the less priviledged, ignored and neglected women in various forms of vocational works so they don't have to rely on anyone for finances, that they may be free and independent, and thus simultaneously creating a platform for them where there voices will be heard, where they can interact with one another, share their unique problems and challenges with one another, and learn from each other's wisdom, profer solutions and do whatever is necessary to bring it to pass and form a formidable support system for one another and the numerous other women who will join them.

I know change starts from one person.if I can positively impact one woman's life,I'm indirectly impacting a whole generation who will also impact others and make this world a better place for a woman to live in and walk with her head held up high, having no fear whatsoever!

I want to be the worldpulse correspondence because the training will equip me with all I need to influence my world for good, help me fine tune my dreams and visions, overcome my fears and help me be a strong voice in my community and my world, speaking for those who cannot speak and helping them eventually speak for themselves.
A well trained woman with the passion and zeal for change is like a lioness in its wake,it turns away before nothing and noone.
I believe this training will help me be that lioness.
With strong emotions,I drop my pen as this is my final submission..but my PULSE beats on!
