Each year on APRIL 22nd billion of people worldwide celebrate earth day through various environmental activities like planting trees , creating awareness of dangers of using plastic , attending environment events that talk about climate change and its dangers in the coming future this years slogan is' PLANET Vs PLASTIC' .the first earth day was held in 1970 even before most of us weren't born yet and the celebration tradition is observer ever since with over 190 countries around the world. this is my 20th earth day celebration this day really means so much to me because i really love nature and planting trees in my community it's also a day to come together as a community to conserve the environment that is under threat from global warming , deforestation ,plastic pollution . so planting trees and trees have protected my community from suffering from mudslides that just happens without a warning.so this year with the help of local community groups we will be planting more trees and after that we going to have an event in alocalcommunity school where we will share the need of protecting our environment and the need of using biodegradable equipments for the sake of preventing the fragile environment we living in .we will also share games that gives a clear pictures of the dangers of not taking good care of our environment correctly people from all walk of life are invited and the activities we will share will be in different age groups so everyone can be involved . for the last 20 years that i have celebrated earth day with my community i have seen big change on environment conservations. everyone who have been planting trees with me for the last 20 years have see their trees grow and most of them name them up or gives them a big hug every year we have an earth day celebration events .this really make me proud most of them always look forward to this big event .and with whatever i do in my community on this day it has attracted so many NGO groups that want to be part of this activities just from something i started like a passion has turn into something so big .i remember last year when we celebrated earth day we managed to have a bike event that encouraged young girls who have passion on bike riddling to have an experience as a way of conserving the environment .event turned out so nice , the day was very successful with young girls and women competing in bike riddling after which they planted trees seedling donated by an NGO creating awareness on global warming .since that it has been a game changer this year we have so many groups that want to be part of earth day celebration and because of the big turn out we going to go outside my community because the community cant accommodate all the activities we planning to do .so i really love seeing growth and success in doing things that touches environment because if we don't come together to fight for the environment protection we are the same people that are going to suffer the consequences of neglecting environmental conservation. planting trees have really changed my life and the lives of my community people and i wont stop doing it no matter how many times i will be planting trees ,my community has a fresh , green , coolair because of the trees we planted 20 yrs ago . each home state has trees around it . even when there is a bad storm outside no roff are brought down because the trees act as a barrier to break down the strong winds . and also the soil are held so firmly no need to worry about floods or mudslides that have been bothering my community decades ago. they sleep peacefully even if the storm is outside they know how safe they are because of the trees they have been planting for years. planting more trees have changed how people live in my community things they used to take for granted now they embrace it with passion . every time there is an event that touches environment conservation it do attract so many locals something they never used to care about because of lack of knowledge and proper awareness .i look forward to creating a greener , safer , conserved environment for my community and future generation with the help of local community groups we will be the head of seeing all this environment well taken care off , make sure we organise events in schools, churches , vocational institutions as a way of reaching out to everyone young and old to see the need of conserving our beautiful environment and also once a month we clean out city from plastics , polythene bags and papers and with the help of national government ,meadis , fliers , banes printed t.shirts just to able to drive our climate justice across the country .i believe this will be very successful because of teamwork and support from different environmental groups that are willing to support the cause of action .i want to look back and smile because i will have something to be proud of and showing to the younger generation that finds it so hard to believe that our environment is under attack and dangers of pollution from all the dirty activities we human are doing with not caring about the safety of the air or the agents that are toxic and are omitted to the fragile environment without being considerate about the consequences what doing what we doing to our surrounding .environment can be so harshly damaged but lack of knowledge and awareness do add injury to the fragile environment that most people value profit and fame than protecting and conserving our planet they rather destroy make money then sit and complain how environment around them have drastically changed and they don't know why
