Faith in Families

Yesterdy's topic at church was about having faith in our families
Key among the issues was communication, commitment and trust between members of the family. How much can we say we are commited, i know majority of us women we are committed to our families but are often let down by the very religions and cultures we propel beyond our right to life and livelihood. I draw specific attention to the Marriage bill that has once agian been shelved by our 9th parliament in Uganda.

We hide behind religion and culture to refuse the bill but as far as i know th ebill is to protect the new generation. For God's sake we live in a monetised economy, the thngs we want to hold onto cannot hold, if i withstood abuse for 12 years till i was left by the readside. i dont think given my expereince i would wish my daughter to be in a relationship and endure such pain. in fact i dont imagine she will wait for my counsel she will have left in any case she will be in position to survive unsupported by a man. Culturally we so much depened on the garden and the man today we have no gardens to stick to there is or there is no money to support the family or the family disintegrates. if it doesnt then there will be a lot of infidelity to fill the gap. look at society evils men and women selling sex, men and women trafficking children, corruption, something for something love.
