Female Graduated Students
Jan 21, 2015
One of my classmates gave birth to a baby several months ago. Just one year and a half after she came to study in our school, the girl has to give up much time working on the courses. Instead, she spends most of the time looking after her little son. It is difficult for her to make a choice between her baby and school, since future job means so much to the girl who still has another 18 months to get her master degree.
In our traditional culture, girls with age up to 30 would feel hurry to get married and have a baby. However, most of the female graduated students get their degree when they are 25 or older. After that, they have to find a job. When they get all the things done to make a living, they are almost 30! There is little time left to find a good guy, let along the good guys are getting fewer and fewer. To make a balance between future career and family, several girls in my department get married before they graduated, so they can finish their work at school without worrying about their future family life. The problem is that time seems to be not enough for they to do both two things well.
Girls in my school are very lucky, for there are few girls can pass the test and be admitted. There are much more boys than girls in campus, and girls are treated better than the boys, especilly in class, for they are always offered the front seats. However, the girls here are just a small sample of women in China. I do not think they can represent girls who do not come to universities like the one I am studying in.
Lucky girls are just a few!
