FIRST LOVE BLOSSOMED.

MY FIRST LOVE BLOSSOMED .
I told you about my first love which were my  first pair of shoes.
These shoes that served me a decade but died due to over use. The good knews is that my love for shoes were born from my first shoes because I saw the way my friends started treating me with respect because I was now wearing shoes.
I realised wearing shoes was a source of strength and dignity so after my first pair of shoes I would save up my pocket money so I could buy another pair of second hand shoes from the local market. From lower pairs of comfortable shoes. I started watching fashion magazines and admiring models on heels. I started practicing at home with the ones I bought. The love kept growing higher until I got to the university. In 2001 when living in our capital city exposed me to a better shoe taste and  fashion.
I perfected my skills then in walking with heels to the extent that  by the time I graduated from the Higher Teachers Training college. My heels had become my identity some  of my  colleagues and students didn't know my name and will describe me just by my shoes : that :madam whose shoes are always like a ladder;. Some days. After teaching some students would come up to tell me how scared they were  that I could fall in class. But it never happened
Maybe my love for heels was a way to compensate for my height 1.62. I am a short woman but you could never know because of my heels.
I comfortably wore heels for years and enjoyed my celebrity until in 2012 when my worst nightmare occurred. I was hit by a stroke and could no longer use my left leg( anyways the story of this stroke is for another day) the long story short is that after I suffered the stroke all my many heels became redundant and now I can only wear very flat shoes. Just imagine the contrast from very high heels to floor flats  and not care how short I am. I am just grateful to be counted amongst the living.
