Gandhi can help you learn the crucial lesson of public relations.

A definition of Public Relations by Journalist Dharaa Patel

There is now a lot of discussion on Gandhi's leadership and tactics, and because I haven't done any research on it, I won't get into that here. But his public relations expertise earned him the recognition he deserved.

If a leader lacks public relations expertise, they cannot be considered great enough. Gandhi ji used his influence to gather people force at a time when many young boys were demonstrating their courage and losing their lives. You may think of him as being careless or something similar, but a leader should operate from a vision rather than from the heart.

Following an incident in which he discovered a woman in need of clothing, he began donning "Dhoti" in order to make clothing sacrifices for many women like this. Even now, a lot of us chuckle and consider how we can do this to save clothes. Here, we should realise that influence is more important than initiative because more people are following the leader. Second, it was more than simply an incident; it was a portion of his sacrifice that is going viral in the media and has enabled him to gain the respect of the Indian populace. Every region has an own thought process, and the only ways to win over Indians are through religion and feelings.

He began by incorporating the conservation of natural resources, such as water, into his daily routine before teaching others. You should be aware that he never forgot to reach out to a sizable population with every move he took. Therefore, the main goals of public relations are to take the initiative and ensure that a large number of individuals are reached.

Many said that he is teaching people to utilise only native items and is travelling in a foreigner's imported car. It's important to note that nobody has yet challenged him because his initiatives have made it overshadowed. A leader who focuses just on being good cannot be a leader.

A leader should occasionally use political tactics, but their deeds should always be so strong that their reputation is unaffected even if they have to behave contrary to what they have said.  Mahatma Gandhi has consistently shown leadership by standing up for the majority of people. Despite their social and economical backwardness, they lead the world in human power. Any vision requires the assistance of human strength to be realised. Thoughtful individuals can assist you in developing a sound plan, the general public will support you and see your leadership.

Gandhi's ability to use the fast as a social and political tool is one of his least-studied leadership qualities. Gandhi fasted 14 times throughout his lifetime for social, religious, or political reasons—a skill he developed through personal practise. For personal penance and to develop his ability for self-sacrifice, ahimsa, and brahmacharya, he would fast.

Furthermore, it is important to note that Gandhi has always been trusted by businesspeople, industrialists, and the impoverished in rural areas. Gandhi's primary skill was his ability to fast for social change. He had to educate his body and mind to survive for years without eating before he could utilise the fast as a political tool. Nobody else was capable of doing it, and no one had an explanation. Both outraged Indian communal rioters and the British were never able to muster a convincing response. Gandhi's fasts resulted in submission to his desires in each instance since accepting any outcome was preferable than permitting Gandhi's death.

There are significant global crises in areas like climate change and forced migration, but no leaders have yet discovered strategies like Gandhi's fast-until-death to mobilise the people and influence political decision-makers. Finding the means to bring about widespread change forcefully and nonviolently, as Gandhi did so successfully, may be the best way to honour his life.
