GENDER BASED VIOLENCE IN DRC

In DRC in general and IDJWI in particular, gender based violence is a stereotype. This is noticed at many steps and levels of life. Women are descriminated in many life aspects. The first case is the social injustice in rising children(boys and girls).
-labor division between boys and girls does not exist. For example in a family where there are 2 boys et 1girl, only the girl has to do all the house works. This is a case in my family too where we are 2girls and 4boys.
_Equality for education for boys and girls in families does not exist too. When the family is not reach enough, priority for education is given to boys. Girls' education is considered as a favor rather than a right. Therefore, once a girl is sent at school,
according to her family rules ,she must stop at a given level unwillingly while her brothers are free to go ahead to any level. At school, she'll face other challenges related to men teachers. Some teachers 'd like to have sex with girls before marking them. Before getting jobs, a great number of men leaders impose women to have sex with them.
_At work , she 'll not have the same advantages like her colleges men. Such as;right for accomodation; being sent in mission,...
_For a married women, household decision making is made by the husband only. The wife has no right to participate to any decision, even if it is about family business;children's education; project and so on.

Taking into account these situations ,we realized that women development and high standard of educated women is still impossible in the area because of this factors .Being connected to wold pulse, these are our challenges that we wished to fight against.
