Groups, Postings, and Access

Hello Ankur and Corine,

How do the Groups function? Specifically, if a Group has an "open" status but has a journal banner that says, "no public postings..." does this literally mean that there are no posts whatsoever, or does it mean there are (or may be) private postings within the group?

I am asking because at our OLCM meeting two of us clearly believed that "friending" and "grouping" was something we wished to do with intention and commitment. To support this view, we wanted more information (to read more posts) about what was happening inside some of the "open" groups before we join.

I also noted that there are closed, invite-only, and moderated groups. What do these mean?
