"Half the Sky" and Making a Difference

PulseWire Members Greetings!

Have you read "Half the Sky" and want to make a difference and share your inspirations? Well, there's a way to do so. Some of the World Pulse Book Club members do not have access to this book. If you have read the book already and want to send it to fellow book lovers, I know that many members would welcome a copy. What a great way to share within our community. We are sharing both inspiration and books now.

I have found that the most powerful message that I have read in "Half the Sky" is, that women are powerful. Women are strong and courageous and are making a difference for themselves and other women around the world. WE are a part of that movement, and now, there is another way to be a part. Share your book! Send a book to woman in her country. Think of the joy for both of you, connecting with PulseWire members, sharing empowerment, inspiration and books. You will both have made a new friend, and a beautiful connection. Wow!

So, if you want to be a part of this exciting exchange, please contact me(Jody, jodelight). If you have the book and are willing to send it to one of our members in their country, or if you are in need of the book. I would be glad to coordinate this.
If you are in need of the book, please contact me with your address:

If you have the book and want to send it to another member, please contact me, and I will try to pair you with book club member who needs the book.
I'll do my absolute best to make this happen, and I know you all will too! Can you imagine how incredible it will be to send your book to a woman in another land, who in turn will receive this book! We are connected and we are capable of making a difference. Everyone of us, together!

I posted this following parable from "Half the Sky" already, but I feel that it is more pertinent than ever:

"A man goes out on the beach and sees that it is covered with starfish that have washed up in the tide. A little boy is walking along, picking them up and throwing them back into the water.
'What are you doing son?' the man asks. 'You see how many starfish there are? You'll never make a difference.'
The boy paused thoughtfully, and picked up another starfish and threw it into the ocean.
'It sure made a difference to that one' he said".

Come make a difference and be a part of the movement! No better way than this to share with each other. Send your book to your PulseWire sister!
