I scanned the pages of my journal and this was my entry.

May nothing happen of that sort anymore,
May people live with respect and value each other’s humanity,
May we always use our gifts to fullfill the very reason of our creation,
May all of us find peace within ourselves and with one another.
May the beauty of nature inspire us to celebrate our brilliance and our diversity,
May the hearts of those who harbor ill thoughts be converted into forgiveness,
May the hurts of the past serve as meaningful lessons to make our lives peaceful.
May we always be conscious that “whatever you do to the least of my brethren, you havevdone it to me”.
