Director Statement:

I began writing ‘Here Rest Butterflies’ as a way to channel some of the confusion and hurt I was feeling at the time. It has evolved into a container for my current experiences and perspectives. I’m bringing this film to life with high hopes of offering some insight and understanding to those battling ghosts from their pasts, and those ready for a new story.​

This is my first adventure into the land of fiction filmmaking. It’s exhilarating to watch something so personal to me come to life before my eyes. After writing my first screenplay and receiving positive encouragement from friends, family and our Ashland artist community, I decided to take the plunge and I’m so happy I did. A whole new world of creative inspiration has opened up to me. I have been humbled and uplifted through this film and experienced true healing as a result. I hope it translates. :)
