How can I keep quiet when even babies are raped? The story of 3 year old Judy

It happened over a week ago and when I got the call I didn't know how to react. In barely 2 months I have received and worked with 7 victims of sexual abuse and rape, but I had not come across a case as vicious as baby Judy's.

Judy's mother is 19 years and still in high school. Her dad is 21 and a farmer. They all lived with their grandmother. On that fateful night, her aunt's boyfriend lurred her outside and quickly took her away to the bush to first try to sodomise her before raping her. The picture of her shattered private parts are so gruelling to share here.

I convinced the mother to let me raise a big alarm with the case for several reasons including rallying much needed support for baby's surgery. Indeed, they were transferred from the small city in the Eastern Region of my country, to the capital city by ambulance. The case was becoming critical and I couldn't contain my wails o.

I did a string of live videos and made phones calls to all I knew who could know someone.

I am not giving up, I will be going to see them tomorrow because we are not in the same city. The fellow was caught and has been transferred to prison awaiting trial, but am in no haste with his case. I will take that case up pro-bono of course, there is no way I am asking for a dime after all what those teenage patents should be going through. They couldn't even afford for a bank of blood and a malicious nurse had even first lied 10 were needed.

Anyways, thank God surgery was successful yesterday, and although the doctors say she may need another surgery, I have faith in my God.

It is very important we don't let such atrocities go unnoticed and unpunished. One day, I would be joined by many in this advocacy and outreqch in my country Amen.
