I am A Pediatric Surgeon 1962 - 1963

It is now 52 years ago that I enjoyed doing my job as Pediatric Surgeon at King George Hospital , Visakhapatnam , AndhraBhaarath from May 1962 to May 1963 and helping neonates , infants and children . It has been a very rewarding work to see happiness in the faces of parents especially mothers and but for misguided fate I would have continued and would have become a life time Pediatric Surgeon . But my own naivety pushed me to seek transfer to Adult General Surgery which I did in requesting Director Of Medical Education to accede to my request which was promptly granted . So there it was and I received orders to relinquish my post at KGH Visakhapatnam and forthwith report to Rangaraya Medical College , Kakinada as Assistant Professor Of general Surgery and General Surgeon . I was given no joining time and no expenses for travel all because of my requisition seeking transfer which the powers that are so readily obliged . So on May 14 , 1963 I boarded a train at Visakhapatnam and traveled overnight south along The Bay Of Bengal Coastline and reported on May 15 , 1963 at the newly founded Rangaraya Medical College / Government General Hospital , Kakinada , East Godavari District , on the east coast in south central Andhra Bhaarath and assumed charge as Assistant Professor Of General Surgery cum General Surgeon and thereby began a new chapter in my life of which I shall write in my next chapter after resting , recouping , recapitulating , remembering and then I will memorialize , bear with me , be with me , don't go away , I will be back .
