Date of formation : 24.12.2010 , Nos. of member : 4 nos.

Beneficiaries name : Ashis Kumar Sahu, Sudhamay Sahu, Banshidhar Sahu & Sukumar Sahu

Loan received from BGVB – Kuilapal branch per beneficiaries: Rs 12500.00 (for Agriculture work). Total loan amount – 50000.00

After repayment, 2nd times loans were received from same bank per beneficiaries – Rs 47500.00

Total loan amount – Rs 190000.00 and they started their individual business.

Ashis Kumar Sahu, an energetic farmer of Jashpur village, Bandwan started one ready made business  couple of years ago but due paucity of fund  his business  was not running properly. Being motivated by GVT staff , he joined in the Joint Liability Group ( JLG)  at Joshipur and  approached local Bank, BGVB- Kuilapal Branch for a Bank loan in view of expansion of his existing ready made  business through the JLG.  After getting loan from BGVB, Kuilapal branch of Rs 47500/- he expanded his ready made business significantly with a steady income of business of Rs 6500/- per month and repaid his bank loan with interest on time.  

Banshidhar Sahu, started Cycle repairing shop with the loan support  in the tune of Rs.47500 from of BGVB, Kuilapal branch .Now his monthly income of Rs 7000/-, earlier it was  a meager one  like Rs.2200/Month.

Sudhamay Sahu, he started Tea & Sweet stall with the help of BGVB, Kuilapal branch and after getting loan of Rs 47500/- he also enhanced his family income in the tune of Rs. monthly Rs 7000/Month.

Sukumar Sahu, also started Grocery & Agri business shop with the help of BGVB, Kuilapal branch and he getting loan of Rs 47500/-. Now his monthly income of Rs 8000/-.

Till date they repaid their loan with interest of Rs 30000/-. They are also discuss outstanding bank loan repaid  as soon as possible and they would apply for getting further loan up to to Rs 300000/-.

CASE STUDY - 02

Name of the SHG : Paisagora Bidhu Chandan Mahila Dal( Women SHG) ,  Name of the Village - Paisagora

Date of formation : 25.04.2007 , Nos. of member : 12 nos.

Saving at this time : 30000/-, Monthly contribution – Rs 30/-

Inter lending at this time – 3000/- for land and Buffalo purchase. (Interest rate @ Rs 3/- per month).

Activity started – Sal leaf plate making.

Bank loan received from BGVB, BORO – Rs 120000/-

They purchase 6 nos. of Tailoring machine and 01 Leaf plate making machine and accessories of Rs 53000/- and Raw material purchase of Rs 20000/-.

At this is time they selling their product of Rs 68/- per 100 nos. of plate and total 25000/- income from this business. They also formed one Sangha( Federation) name - Boro Samajkalyan Sangha

Above the business they also started another two IGA – Pig rearing of Rs 18000/- and Goat rearing of Rs 12000/-.

The group members also involved Midday meal scheme and yearly income of Rs 3800/- from this activity.

The Paisagora Bidhu Chadan Mahila Dal increases their family income as well as group income.

CASE STUDY - 03

Name of the SHG :Baghabaid Lumang Sutan Mahila Samiti ( Women SHG) ,  Name of the Village - Baghabaid

Date of formation : 04.04.2008 , Nos. of member : 14 nos.

Saving at this time: 79900/-, Monthly contribution – Rs 20/-

Inter lending at this time – 26500/- for land and Cow and Goatery purchase. (Interest rate @   Rs 1/- per month).

Activity started – Vermi Compost (Support from WADI project, Man-II)

Bank loan received from BOB, Jamtoria – Rs 45000/-

At this is time they selling their product of Rs 8/- per Kg. of and total 8000/- income from this business. And also their product stock in hand more than 10 quintals.

They also formed one Sangha name – Banaphul Sangha, Jamtoria - Borgoria

The group members also involved Midday meal scheme and yearly income of Rs 600/- from this activity.

The Baghabaid Lumang Sutan Mahila Samiti increases their family income as well as group income.
