International Youth Day 2024 - Click to Progress

On 12th August 2024, We sisters from World pulse gathered on Clubhouse to engage in a vibrant discussion on youth empowerment through technology "Click to progress" to mark International Youth Day . Thankyou Jacklyn @agwamawomen for always gathering us for a valuable cause and thanks to Comfort and Jefitar for your great words and inspiring ideas .

The session was dynamic and insightful, reflecting on the gaps and challenges faced by the youth in accessing technology and exploring avenues for their empowerment.

Our discussion highlighted several critical issues where we discussed significant gap in digital literacy for personal and professional growth and also its importance if we are not updated with the new digital skills we will lag behind.

We delved into the ways youth can be empowered despite these challenges, emphasizing the importance of targeted interventions and strategic initiatives.

The Way Forward: Action Plan

As a way forward, we have planned a series of digital skill development sessions to be conducted on various social media platforms. These sessions will focus on:

1. Basic Digital Skills required for economic empowerment and earning online
2. Advanced Technological Skills: Offering courses on content creation, digital marketing, and other in-demand skills.
3. Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Encouraging youth to harness technology for entrepreneurial ventures, providing mentorship and resources to turn ideas into reality.
4. Networking and Collaboration
