HOW INTERNET EMpOWERED ME TO ACHIEVE MY GOALS
Internet has revolutionised my life in many ways more than one. Internet has been a faithful companion since 7 years now and the impact it has on me is stark and clear. Seven year back it took me several visits to nearby libraries, flipping through numerous books and consultation with a host of people until I could finally be satisfied with a school project. Now I am in my final year of graduation and it takes me less than an hour to finalise the content of my assignments, less than 5 minutes to update my colleague about my work, and seconds to connect with my friends abroad and seek their opinion. There has been a paradigm shift in my life all thanks to internet.
Internet has been a life saviour, a friend, a mentor and a parent. If it weren’t for internet I wouldn’t be writing this piece. I couldn’t keep in constant touch with my parents who are 1500 miles away. I wouldn’t have come across people who have altered my life for good.
Today I can proudly claim that I have an idea about different cultures. Sitting in my bed with my laptop I can see the whole world at go. Without even visiting places I can see their pictures and learn about their heritage and language too.
Thanks to internet, today I know how my peers around the world are making a difference and it inspires me to do better. Inspiration for me is now just a click away... all thanks to internet!
