Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I am a professor, advocate, business woman, journalist, mom...many things. I like to speak up for those who can't and like to move people into action. The classes I teach are always from the left. I have socialist views and beliefs in economic equality. I lived in Bolivia for many years and have a Fair Trade knitting company there, www.kusikuy.com. My children's father comes from a poor Bolivian mining family. Today I live in the USA, dream of the world, raise my children, farm, and am involved with shutting down the nuclear power plant down the mountain from us.

My Passions:
sustainability and equality

My Challenges:
staying focussed long enough to immerse in details

My Vision for the Future:
collective living in small communities linked globally

My Areas of Expertise:
teaching, writing, organizing
