Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I grew up in a very small town in the north eastern state of Assam in India and went to Jaipur (a.k.a the Pink city of India) for college. I then went to Boston, MA for my graduate studies and worked in the Greater Boston Area for almost a decade as a Software Engineer. During my 12 years in Boston, I was very impressed to see how socially responsible the Americans are and always had this feeling at the back of my head that I wasn't giving back to a nation where I had done my entire schooling and undergrad in about $1500. Hence in the middle of 2010, I along with my family moved back to India to start a non profit organization named One Billion Literates Foundation http://onebillionliterates.org. The mission is to impart good quality education to children attending state run schools and make the community around them employable.

My Passions:
My organization

My Challenges:
insuffficient funds to take it to the next level

My Vision for the Future:
Impact a million lives.

My Areas of Expertise:
