About Me:
I was born in London, England, and have spent nearly all my life living there. The city is one of the major loves of my life - it has a piece of every corner of the world, and there is always something new to discover.
But I love to travel, too, and I've been very lucky to have had the chance to do so. From trekking through the Pinar del Rio tobacco fields in Cuba; to dancing at midnight in one of the vibrant open-air city bars of Accra; to strolling the pathways of the Forbidden Palace, Beijing; to eating roasted cassava on the streets of Mbeya, Tanzania; to arriving by moonlight on Chizimulu Island, Lake Malawi, together with the local people and their weekly supplies travelling on the Ilala ferry; I treasure the opportunities I have had to learn just a little bit more about how people live and have lived in different parts of the globe.
I'm lucky, too, to work in a university in London where I can meet students from all over the world and find out about research happening on a global scale. As a publications and communications manager, my work brings me into contact with people from more than 100 countries, and projects which aim to improve people's lives on every continent.
Now I've become involved with World Pulse, I feel even more privileged to be connecting with so many fantastic women in different places.
