Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I am a graduate student at the University of Oregon, studying Conflict and Dispute Resolution and Multimedia Journalism. I also enjoy my position as the African Studies Graduate Teaching Fellow. I'm dedicated to understanding peaceful communication and empowerment of the disenfranchised voice.

When I'm not in front of a computer, I love to: run with my dog Gerty; cook and enjoy meals with my partner and friends; enjoy outdoor and international adventures; ask questions; capture the world through story and camera; experience honest connections with others.

To be forthcoming, I find online social forums intimidating but I'm fascinated by the power they hold and very honored and excited to be joining this group of powerful women.

My Passions:
Understanding the world around me

My Challenges:
Consistently living the idea that one must take care of oneself to take care of others.

My Vision for the Future:
Equality
