Introducing myself and my journal: A successful life

About Me:
I was born and raised in Mexico by a traditional, born early 1900's, conflicted, southern mother.
My mother was a hard-working woman that had a difficult childhood and had to grow fatherless, the oldest of 5 - 4 girls and the youngest was a boy - and she had to struggle between complying with tradition (being at home taking care of kids and husband), dealing with her extraordinarily tough & unyielding personality (more suitable for a male), and trying to raise kids that would excel and conquer the world while still observing our culture -with religion and acquiescence at its core.
I was the rebel, I refused to fall into the 'tradition' trap, so I turned into my mother toughest challenge and she was mine.
Now, I live a fulfilled - even if un-traditional - life. I am free of remorse, free of mental, verbal and physical abuse & violence and I have a wonderful husband of 25 years and a daughter, of whome I could not be more proud.
Life is great!
Life is what we make of it. We have the power to shape our future.

My Passions:
Influencing people, talking and learning from others that have found success.

My Challenges:
I have a quick temper and I tend to be impatient with people that refuse to stop being victims.

My Vision for the Future:
I will be contributing my experiences and helping others to realize their potential so they make the decision to take their future into their own hands.
