Introducing myself and my journal: A view from outside the box

About Me:
I am a 34 year old, single mother of a beautiful, soon to be 7 year old daughter. I am currently a CALSTATE student, majoring in gender/womens studies and minoring in creative writing. My spirituality is feminist in nature, as I identify as a Dianic Feminist Witch, a women oriented spiritual tradition revived by Zsuzsanna E. Budapest. My mother is an immigrant from the Philippines, and my father is American/German. As a radical, critical race, eco-feminist, I believe that women, children, the poor, ethnic minorities, indigenous populations, and the natural environment are viewed and treated as exploitable resources. I also believe that empowering mothers on a global level will save the world.

My Passions:
motherhood, feminism, learning, dianic witches, permaculture, gift-economy, sustainable living, the feminization of poverty, healthful living, right livlihood, strawbale housing, grant writing, writing, social justice, krav-maga, escrima, food not lawns

My Challenges:
all of my passions are also challenges

My Vision for the Future:
autonomy from patriarchy/race supremacy for all of us

My Areas of Expertise:
how to go to school on welfare, witchcraft, pagan parenting
