About Me:
Years ago I was an optimist. Angry at the world's injustices, but an optimist. Then time and travels took off my optimist edge. Fortunately, magazines like \"Mother Jones\" existed and the feisty words of other pessimists. For example, I was thrilled when I came across the tidbit that Alice Roosevelt Longworth, Theodore Roosevelt's daughter, had a salon pillow embroidered with the quip, \"If you haven't got anything nice to say about anybody, come sit next to me.\"
I also owned and wore the life out of a pin with a quote from the anarchist Mikhail Alexandrovich Bakuni, \"I shall continue to be an impossible person so long as those who are now possible remain possible.\"
I do try to play nicely with others, but the world is so full or injustice and inequity that my sanity requires ranting regularly. Consider yourself warned.
