Introducing myself and my journal: Introducing myself

About Me:
this is always the most difficult thing to write: about me, myself and I. But i find that when i imagine that i can be me, myself and I,(Trinity??) that gives an idea what faith i profess. Not that I am "the almighty", but in this form, i am able to give people a snap-shot of who i am.
Me: A ghanaian woman, with two lovely kids, my son(smart, strong and full of compassion) and my daughter (cute, smart and funny)keep my world together and a constant reminder never to give up when the going gets though.
Myself: a student at the University of Illinois, moved to Oregon two years ago(can't believe it's already two years) to be with my family while my husband teaches at WOU. Thankfully,I have found a new home with the African Women Coalition here in Portland among wonderful women doing extraordinary jobs to improve women's lives.
I: am very empathetic, believe in second chances and redemption but have very little patience for hypocricy. I am highly optimistic and always see the glass(calabash) half full. You get the sense of this in my daughter's name "a zaa na nyeib" meaning, everything will be alright. I know that sometimes, life can be overwhelming and we get carried away by dailly stresses of work, family, injustice, etc but i also know that things are getting better for a lot of women and will continue to get better because we are all doing the best we can and know how.
