Introducing myself and my journal: Restorate tranquility by storm

About Me:
I am a 19-year-old ambitious lady and eager to make change even in the smallest way. I finished high school from Precious Blood Riruta, where I was the school captain, in 2011. I co-founded AZMA in 2011 for mobilization of the youth for community outreach. I was an intern with Akili Dada in 2012. I was a team coordinator with Be The Change-Kenya in 2012.I am currently a volunteer at Haki Water for water and sanitation as I wait to join university this year study either InternationaL Relations or Law. I sing in Jubilee Chorale and Covenant Choir as well as play piano to satisfy my love for music. I read widely to increase my knowledge and t enjoy each writer's style.

I like working with the underpriviledged as I can resonate with them having grown up in Mukuru slums in Nairobi. I offer the resources at my disposal; time, hope and energy. I believe that our small acts make a world of difference. The equalizer in every society is knowledge and I am passionate about getting to as many people as possible especially women and girls.

My Passions:
Community outreach, women and girls empowerment, music, sports, reading and languages

My Challenges:
Lack of finances to pursue most of the things I would like to do.

My Vision for the Future:
To be in a policy making position in the world so as to make policies that affect the African woman and girl child positively

My Areas of Expertise:
Community organizing
