Introducing myself and my journal: Speak Up and Let Our Voices Be Heard

About Me: My awareness and concern of poverty in a developing country like the Philippines, where I was born and raised, greatly influences my strong advocacy in helping people. I now live in New York as an immigrant, and I carry with me the value of making a difference in people’s lives. I advocate social responsibility and volunteerism. I look for organizations and groups of people whose common goal is to impact the community and individual person. I connect with them, and I use my role as a citizen journalist to let other people know their stories and the importance of what they do. That is the inner voice - the voice to influence, inspire, and impact the world. My passion for journalism and for dealing with people has strengthened my mission as an individual. As a Recruiter for FEGS Health and Human Services, I live that mission. I started as a citizen journalist with Allvoices for more than a year. I elevated my voice and became a CNN iReporter in August 2010. In my photos, I capture beauty. In my stories, I talk about life. New York is not only the center of business and cultural diversity, but it is also a haven of global events, opportunities, and solutions. My eyes are always open for positive news, and my ears are always alert for positive voices. The power of my voice as a citizen journalist and the voices of people who have a common goal to transform and make the world a better place to live - is the path to the Strong Voices of Our Future. My Passions: To do good deeds, travel, photography, blogging, reading My Vision for the Future: Better and Peaceful Future My Areas of Expertise: Social Responsibility, Volunteerism, Human Capital
